Research Title: The Pronunciation of the /t/, /d/ and /id/ Sounds for the –ed

Ending in High Vocational 1 Students in Business Computer

This study examined the pronunciation of the /t/, /d/ and /id/ sounds for the –ed ending in High Vocational 1 students in business computer major of Rayong Commercial College. The participants were recorded their pronunciation and checked to see accuracy and mispronunciation. The average scores of incorrect word was calculated in percentage and reported in bar graph to compare the words that pronounce incorrectly. The results indicated that /d/ sound is highest number of mispronunciation. The /t/ sound was the medium and the /id/ sound was the lowest. The findings showed that English teachers can plan, organize, control or monitor, and evaluate their teaching pronouncing and the students can also use the result to improve themselves.

บทคัดย่อ การวิจัยนี้ได้ทดสอบการออกเสียงท้ายคำด้วยเสียง /t/, /d/ และ /id/ ของนักเรียนระดับชั้นปวส. 1 สาขาคอมพิวเตอร์ธุรกิจ โรงเรียนระยองพาณิชยการ ในการทดลองได้บันทึกเสียงกลุ่มตัวอย่างแล้วนำไปตรวจสอบความถูก-ผิดของการออกเสียง ค่าเฉลี่ยของคำที่ออกเสียงผิดจะนำไปหาค่าเปอร์เซ็นและเปรียบเทียบในรูปของกราฟแท่งซึ่งผลรับที่ได้แสดงให้เห็นว่าเสียง /d/ จะเป็นเสียงที่ออกเสียงผิดมากที่สุด เสียง /t/ เป็นเสียงที่ออกผิดเป็นลำดับสองและเสียง /id/ ที่ออกผิดน้อยที่สุด ผลการศึกษานี้เพื่อเป็นแรงจูงใจให้ครูที่สอนภาษาอังกฤษได้ให้ความสำคัญกับการออกเสียงท้ายคำ และมีส่วนช่วยให้ครูได้วางแผน จัดการ ควบคุมการสอนและประเมินค่าการสอนการออกเสียง อีกทั้งให้นักเรียนได้นำผลรับที่ได้ไปพัฒนาการออกเสียงของตนเองด้วย
